2636 Eggbutt Snaffle Single Jointed The Eggbutt snaffle is characterised by a fixed ring. The sides should lie about one centimetre closer to the corners of the mouth compared to a loose ring snaffle. The Eggbutt prevents the corners of the mouth from being pinched by the rings. The horse cannot lift the bit with its tongue, so the mouthpiece stays calmer in the mouth and is somewhat more stabilised laterally.
