What Is Organic Arborio Rice? Arborio rice is named after the town in Italy where it was originally cultivated. The rice has short, fat and slightly oval-shaped kernels with a pearly white exterior. This makes it the perfect basis for an authentic Italian risotto, and is the classic choice of rice to create this dish. Apart from risotto, it can also be used to make sweet pudding rice, or as an alternative to Spanish rice in Paella. Instructions For Use: To Cook: Allow 75g of rice per person. Preparation Time: 15 minutes, cooking time 30 minutes. In a pan fry some butter with a portion of rice for 2-3 minutes, then keep adding a small amount of stock at a time until absorbed.
