Voor wie alsemkruiden wil kopen, is dit dus een goede keuze. Om de infusie te maken doe je 1 theelepel (1 tot 1,5 gram) per liter water. Het is het beste om de infusie niet te zoeten en om maximaal 2 kopjes per dag te drinken (als de drank nog warm is). Je kan het maximaal 4 weken aaneengesloten gebruiken, daarna is een pauze van minstens een week nodig. Alsem en staat bekend onder vele namen. In het Engels is dat wormwood, onder haar Latijnse naam van Artemisa absinthium en komt in de Marokkaanse keuken voor als shiba. Het is een belangrijk ingrediënt in absinth(likeur), dus het wordt ook wel absinthalsemthee genoemd. Dat zijn slechts een aantal voorbeelden, omdat het over de hele wereld voorkomt.
