Chateau Kefraya Rouge is a delicious Lebanese wine. The wine is macerated for 2 to 3 weeks, after fermentation the wine matures for 24 months in French oak barrels. The wine has also had amphora maturation for a few months. This beautiful red wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cinsaut varieties.The flavor character of Chateau Kefraya RougeThe aromas of the wine are intense and complex with hints of sandalwood and undergrowth, leather and pepper, fresh red fruit, ripe strawberries and menthol, violets, coffee and licorice. The wine is deep cherry red with purple reflections in the glass. In the aftertaste you will taste the beautiful, long-lasting floral aromas of Carmenère.The wine is a perfect accompaniment to delicate meat, game, lamb or soft cheese. Before serving, we recommend decanting the Chateau Kefraya Rouge for about 30 minutes.Storage wineChateau Kefraya Rouge is a good wine to keep and can be kept for up to 10 years, of course under optimal conditions.Chateau KefrayaThe Chateau Kefraya winery is located in the Bekaa Valley. This is Lebanon's most important wine region, where many quality wines are created. This area is 1000 meters above sea level. Since the times of the Phoenicians, the area has been considered fertile and very suitable for grape growing and viticulture. The soil is diverse and rich in chalk, clay-limestone sand and gravel soils, the vines grow in the sun-drenched, non-irrigated vineyards. The climate here is temperate compared to the rest of the country. The temperature differences between day and night ensure slow development and perfect ripening of the grapes.
