For example, the Morrison's owned this Glen Garioch Distillery in 1988 and Brian Morrison beautifully explains why this specific cask was so special. These numbered bottles are housed in a handmade wooden box that also bears a specially crafted commemorative plaque.Glen Garioch from that time was a very "old-fashioned" and tasteful distillate. Not sweet, but rather spicy, often with influences from the use of peat when drying the barley.Nose: first delicious juicy fruit (peach) with pickled orange peel, syrup and warm stroopwafel, smoldering wood (smoke) and a puff of peat.Taste: here first the spices (cloves, cardamom) with a pinch of pepper. Honeycomb with both fresh orchard fruit, as well as included in apple pie and plum pie. All topped with fresh cream.Finish: elegant and warming. All the rich flavors are complemented by a little more (peat) smoke at the end.
