Wakefield Estate (also known as Taylor`s) has been making wine in Clare Valley since 1969 and is one of the region`s most consistent producers. Clare Valley is Australia`s premier Riesling region. The combination of warm days, cool nights and ancient soils produces wines with intense citrus character and razor-sharp acidity. The 2025 vintage is fresh and vibrant straight from the cellar. Lime juice and zest, green apple and lemon with slate-like minerality. Bone-dry with racy acidity and a steely backbone typical of Clare Valley. Medium-bodied with purity of fruit and a long, clean finish. This is textbook Aussie Riesling: bright, precise, and focused. Serve well chilled (6-8°C). Excellent with Asian cuisine, seafood, salads, or as a crisp aperitif. Drinking beautifully now but Clare Valley Riesling ages brilliantly. This will develop toast and honey notes over 5-10 years if you can resist it.
