His goals helped Leeds win two First Division titles, an FA Cup and a Fairs Cup under Don Revie. Lorimer's contribution to the Revie era went beyond the goals. His delivery from wide areas, his ability to create from deep and his crossing technique gave Leeds an attacking threat that complemented the combativeness of Billy Bremner and Johnny Giles in central midfield. His international career for Scotland extended to 21 caps and further confirmed the standing of a player who was one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in English football for the best part of a decade. Elland Road still celebrates him as one of the club's own.
