Released exactly a decade after harvest, this limited-edition Reserva represents the apex of the estate's production, having undergone an extended maturation in concrete vats and fine oak barrels to achieve extraordinary tertiary complexity, refined balance, and remarkable vitality.. Why You'll Love It. This wine stands out for its extraordinary silkiness, vibrant longevity, and seamless integration of fruit and age. Grown in high-altitude, clay-limestone vineyards exposed to cool Atlantic breezes, the Tempranillo grapes preserve a naturally high acidity essential for long aging. Vinified in traditional concrete vats and aged for years in oak barrels before further bottle maturation, it delivers a profound bouquet of ripe dark plums, balsamic notes, sweet tobacco, and polished leather, backed by an exceptionally fresh and silky palate.. Vineyard & Production. The grapes are hand-selected from the finest, low-yielding Tempranillo parcels in Ollauri, situated at 500 metres above sea level. Following gentle crushing, primary fermentation takes place in concrete tanks to maintain pure fruit character and structural freshness. The wine undergoes an extended aging regime—spending years maturing quietly in concrete and fine-grained oak barrels—allowing the components to resolve completely without losing their vibrant core before final release ten years after the vintage.. Tasting Notes. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby colour with elegant garnet and brick-red highlights. The nose is complex, layered, and hauntingly fragrant, opening with rich aromas of stewed black cherries, dark plums, and dried figs, interwoven with dark chocolate, cedar wood, sweet tobacco, balsamic herbs, and subtle forest floor.
