Domaine Boutinot Argiles Blanches Blanc is a rich, textured, and refined white wine from the Cairanne AOP in the Southern Rhone. Oak-aged and carefully balanced, it showcases vibrant fruit, floral aromatics, and subtle smoky, spicy notes, offering elegance, complexity, and a mineral-driven finish.. Why You'll Love It. Domaine Boutinot has a long-standing passion for the Southern Rhone, with over thirty years of winemaking in the region. The estate works closely with trusted partner growers, combining traditional techniques and modern precision to craft wines that express the true character of Cairanne's terroir. Argiles Blanches Blanc is the white counterpart to their celebrated reds from the appellation, and it deserves equal attention.. Vineyard and Production. Hand-harvested Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes from partner vineyards in Cairanne, including a Roussanne plot just 200 metres from the winery, are gently pressed and clarified by cold tank. The juice is fermented entirely in 300 to 400 litre oak barrels, a mix of new and four-year-old wood, chosen to enhance texture and natural character rather than impart strong oak flavours. The wine is aged in barrel for six months before filtration and bottling.. Tasting Notes. Fresh aromas of ripe fruit and delicate floral notes, layered with subtle spice and smokiness from barrel ageing. The palate is plump, mineral-driven, and elegant, with a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, and freshness that lingers on the finish.. Perfect Pairings.
