Meet the producerWiese & Krohn was founded in 1865 by two Norwegians, Theodor Wiese and Dankert Krohn, initially shipping wine to Scandinavia. Today, the house continues its long tradition of producing Ports with precision and character, using grapes from the finest Douro Valley vineyards.. ProductionCrafted from a selection of red grapes including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, and Tinta Roriz, the wine is aged in small oak casks of around 630 litres. Over time, the ruby-red youthful colour gradually softens to a warm tawny hue, while the palate develops smooth, mellow flavours and increasingly complex aromas of nuts and dried fruits..
