Kilkerran 8 Year Old Bourbon Cask 57.7% 2026 Release 70cl
The Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength Bourbon 2026 Release showcases the character of Campbeltown whisky. Matured exclusively in bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength, this limited annual release continues the distillery’s reputation for producing whisky with depth, texture and a distinctive coastal influence. It offers a balance of sweetness, gentle smoke and refined complexity, making it a sought‑after expression for collectors and enthusiasts alike.. The nose opens with soft butterscotch and custard creams, followed by apple butter and a subtle savoury note of white miso. Layers of cream sponge and poached pear add a delicate sweetness. The palate carries a creamy texture with flavours of shortbread crust and smooth caramel chocolate, developing into brighter notes of gooseberries and white grapes alongside hints of cigar box smoke and sandalwood. The finish reveals green peppercorn and honeydew melon, joined by a gentle ashy character that lingers with satisfying warmth.
