Old Pulteney 15 Year Old is a perfectly balanced Highland single malt, matured for fifteen years to marry richness and refinement. This whisky reflects the dual nature of its coastal home, combining indulgent, warming flavours with lighter, refreshing maritime notes that define The Maritime Malt.. Initially aged in second-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, it develops rich, dark spices before a finishing period in first-fill Spanish oak casks enhances chocolate, dried fruit and subtle sweetness. Distilled and matured by the sea on the Caithness coast, it absorbs the brisk, salty air year after year, giving this expression its distinctive coastal character.. In the glass, Old Pulteney 15 Year Old is a rich amber colour. The nose is intense yet balanced, bursting with dried fruit, ripe apples, citrus, honey and creamy vanilla, with subtle chocolate and floral undertones.
