Title: Greystone Thomas Brothers Pinot Noir, Waipara | Wine | 75cl | United Kingdom Brand: Winebuyers Established in 2004, Greystone is a New Zealand winery located in Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The vineyard, which covers 33 hectares, has been organically managed since 2014. Greystone's commitment to quality has been recognized with numerous awards, including twice winning Decanter's trophy for Best Pinot Noir and earning the ranking of Top New Zealand Chardonnay in 2018. In 2018, Greystone was named Raymond Chan's Winery of the Year and winemaker, Dom Maxwell, was named New Zealand Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Wine. First produced in 2011, this is Greystone's flagship Pinot Noir, named after the Thomas family who own the estate. The wine showcases the unique terroir of the vineyard with its complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, earthiness, and baking spices. On the palate, the flavors expand, carried by long fine-grained tannins and poised acidity.
