Boutinot Here & There Malbec 75cl | Boutinot Here There Malbec
Boutinot Here and There Malbec is a vibrant and approachable Malbec from Swartland, South Africa, balancing bright red fruit with subtle spice and depth. Praised by The Wine Merchant as "the definitive crowd pleaser", this wine offers both immediate enjoyment and genuine complexity for those who take time to explore it. Sourced from Swartland's granite-rich soils and crafted with a blend of whole bunch and whole berry fermentation, it punches well above its price point.. Why You'll Love It. This is South African wine that delivers exceptional quality and drinkability at an outstanding price. Sourced from Swartland's renowned granite-rich alluvial soils, the low-yield vines produce concentrated fruit with natural complexity. Boutinot's thoughtful winemaking, including 30% whole bunch fermentation and partial barrel ageing, creates a wine with structure and depth while maintaining everyday approachability.. Meet the Producer. Boutinot South Africa is dedicated to capturing the authentic essence of South African vineyards, producing wines that combine quality, value and a true sense of place from some of the Cape's most exciting regions.. Production. Grapes are sourced from selected vineyards on Swartland's granite-rich alluvial soils, which produce low-yield, highly concentrated berries. The fruit is hand-picked and naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks. Around 30% of the grapes undergo whole bunch fermentation and 70% whole berry fermentation to enhance structure and complexity. Daily pump-overs guide fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation in tank. A small portion (15%) is matured for several months in older 300-litre barrels to add subtle depth.. Tasting Notes. Warm and inviting on the nose with ripe redcurrant, raspberry and a hint of spice. On the palate, juicy and approachable with gentle red berry fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a rounded, supple finish.. Perfect Pairings. A versatile red wine that pairs beautifully with vegetable lasagne, pizza, pasta dishes, burgers, grilled vegetables or any casual dining occasion. Also excellent with barbecued meats and charcuterie.. Grape Variety. 100% Malbec
