Tabalí Pedregoso Gran Reserva Malbec is a refined and mineral red wine from the coastal Limarí Valley in Chile, planted on alluvial soils enriched with calcareous veins along the southern bank of the Limarí River. The Espinal vineyard's unique geology, stony alluvial terraces interspersed with limestone dust deposited by ancient glaciers, gives the wine remarkable freshness and a distinct mineral character that sets it apart from other Chilean Malbecs.. Vineyard & Production. Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal aromatic and phenolic ripeness from the Espinal vineyard in the Limarí Valley, picked into 20kg bins to preserve integrity and minimise damage. Fermentation takes place in small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by post-fermentation maceration to enhance structure and texture. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels to integrate flavours and achieve a polished, elegant finish.. Tasting Notes. Violet-red in the glass. The nose reveals ripe plums, sour cherries, red fruits, and delicate violet aromas.
