Vineyard & Production. The grapes are hand-selected from mature, low-yielding vineyard blocks planted on weathered granite and clay-rich soils on the estate's sun-drenched north-to-west-facing slopes. Harvesting takes place in the cool morning hours to preserve pure fruit aromatics. Following destemming and gentle crushing, the must undergoes fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with extended maceration on the skins to extract rich colour and fine tannins. The wine is then transferred entirely to French oak barriques (predominantly new) for an extended maturation period of eighteen months, followed by careful blending and bottle refinement before release.. Tasting Notes. In the glass, it displays a deep, opaque ruby-red colour with a dark purple rim. The nose is complex, layered, and commanding, opening with classic aromas of ripe cassis, black cherries, and dark plums, interwoven with sophisticated notes of pencil lead, graphite, tobacco leaf, sweet cedar wood, and subtle baking spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, and harmonious, offering concentrated dark berry flavours underpinned by a vibrant beam of freshness and exceptionally fine, chalky tannins that carry into a long, savoury, and persistent finish..
