Fast-Setting D4 Polyurethane Adhesive for Rapid Bonding Soudal Trade 5 Minute Liquid PU Wood Adhesive is a fast-setting, high-strength polyurethane wood adhesive with D4 water resistance classification. Specially designed for rapid bonding of wood and timber substrates, this liquid adhesive offers a strong, waterproof bond in just 5 minutes. Suitable for interior and exterior joinery, including applications in humid and damp environments. Key Features & Benefits Fast Setting: Initial bond achieved in 5 minutes, reducing clamping time and boosting productivity. D4 Water Resistance: Conforms to EN 204 D4 standard for use in high humidity and external applications. Strong Bond: High final bond strength suitable for load-bearing joints and assemblies. Foaming Action: Slight expansion during curing fills small gaps for secure bonding. Versatile Use: Bonds softwood, hardwood, chipboard, MDF, and many other porous materials. Product Details Type: One-component polyurethane adhesive Colour: Light brown Open Time: Approx. 5 minutes Clamp Time: 10–15 minutes (depending on temperature and porosity) Full Cure: 24 hours Packaging: 750g or 1L bottle (varies by variant) Application Instructions Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or oil. Lightly dampen one surface for optimal curing. Apply Adhesive: Spread a thin layer evenly on one side using a suitable applicator or nozzle. Assemble & Clamp: Join parts immediately and apply even pressure for at least 10 minutes. Curing: Allow 24 hours for full bond strength to develop. Clean tools with acetone before curing. Limitations Not suitable for use on polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), or Teflon (PTFE). Expansion during curing may affect precision joints — test beforehand on fine tolerances. Health & Safety Contains isocyanates. Use appropriate PPE including gloves and eye protection. Ensure good ventilation during application. Refer to the SDS for full safety guidance.
